What Can Yoga do for You?

physiological state characterized by a slower heart rate, metabolism, rate of breathing, lower blood pressure, and slower brain wave patterns.

I call my classes Yoga Unlimited to encourage you to cultivate a view unencumbered by thoughts that your body, mind, or personality is subject to any shortcoming. Whatever condition you find yourself in, everyone is able to change and grow to a remarkable degree.

Yoga can offer you:

• A systematic way of exploring a full range of motion that respects the integrity of the human body.

• A way to recognize habitual movement and breathing patterns that can result in discomfort and tension and at the same time offer choices in movement that offer a healthier relationship with ourselves.

• A set of skills that evoke a ‘relaxation response’ - a “physiological state characterized by a slower heart rate, metabolism, rate of breathing, lower blood pressure, and slower brain wave patterns” (Herbert Benson author of ‘The Relaxation Response’).
